- 6 slices rouladen beef (thin slices of topside or round roast beef)
- ¼ cup Dijon mustard
- 6 slices bacon
- 1 onion, sliced
- 4 – 6 sour pickles, sliced (to taste)
- 1/3 cup beef stock
- Preheat oven to 150 degrees Celsius.
- Lay the meat slices open and spread mustard along each slice lengthways.
- Place a slice of bacon on top of the mustard and top with a layer of onion and sour pickles to taste.
- Fold the ends of the meat slice and roll. Tie each roll together with kitchen twine (to hold the rouladen together while cooking).
- Brown each side of the rouladens in a large fry pan.
- Place rouladens in a deep pan and pour beef stock over.
- Cover and place in preheated oven for approximately 60 minutes.
- Remove from oven and cut off all twine, slice in half. Serve with your choice of sides.
