SAVOURY GRILLED FLANK STEAK

Serves 4.

Quick, Few Ingredients.

Ingredients:
  • 2 tbsp canola oil
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp liquid honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 0.75 kg flank steak
Method:
  1. To prepare marinade, combine all ingredients except steak in a heavy zip-lock plastic bag. Add steak and squeeze bag to coat steak with marinade; seal bag. Let stand for 30 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, preheat natural gas barbecue on medium heat for 10 – 15 minutes.
  3. Remove steak from marinade; discard marinade. Grill steak to medium rare, about 15 – 20 minutes. Let stand for 5 minutes before slicing. Using a sharp knife held at a 45 degree angle, slice steak against the grain into thin slices.
